From Politics in Minnesota dot com:
The conservative coalition that filed suit in May against Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie and 31 county auditors is accusing the Minnesota Supreme Court of dismissing the lawsuit Thursday to spare itself “the embarrassment of having to acknowledge major election system problems after just issuing its decision in the (Norm Coleman-Al Franken) contest.”
The fall out of the Franken-Coleman contest is going to be an issue in Minnesota at least through the 2010 elections in Minnesota. What’s more, the state’s Democrat Secretary of State Mark Ritchie is probably going to be the top Democrat target for Republicans as well. Look, there’s already a website, and radio spot highlighting his work as Secretary of State in Minnesota.
He’s definitely a rising star for Minnesota Democrats.
